Future of the Academic Profession

Last week, the University of Aveiro hosted the conference The Future of the Academic Profession, organised by the CIPES team. The event brought together researchers and experts from different countries to reflect on the challenges and transformations shaping the academic profession and the future of Higher Education.

On Wednesday (9), the programme focused on presenting the results of the reUni4Future project, funded by FCT. The central theme, explored in the keynote address by Professor Rui Vieira de Castro, was The University of the Future, followed by a round-table discussion with the participation of Professor Tiago Brandão Rodrigues from the University of Aveiro, as well as Vice-Rectors Professor Sandra Soares from the University of Aveiro, Professor Delfim Leão from the University of Coimbra, and Professor António Salgado from the University of Minho.

It was an important opportunity to share valuable insights and continue reflecting on the academic profession and its role in the future of Higher Education.
