Grand Cross of the Order of Public Instruction

Professor Alberto Amaral, founder and current researcher at CIPES, was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Public Instruction by the President of the Portuguese Parliament, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, in recognition of his highly significant contribution to science, education, knowledge, and service to society.

The ceremony took place at Porto City Hall on February 10, 2026, bringing together prominent figures from academic and public life. We warmly congratulate Professor Alberto Amaral on this distinguished honor, which fills us with great pride.

Internation Higher Education

The CIPES researcher Pedro Teixeira has published the article entitled “This Time Is Different? Higher Education and AI’s Impact on the Labor Market” in the journal International Higher Education, published by Boston College.

The article analyzes the challenges that artificial intelligence poses to the labor market and the resulting implications for higher education.

National Meeting on Public Policy Evaluation

CIPES researcher, Pedro Luis Silva, took part last week (26) in PLANAPP’s National Meeting on Public Policy Evaluation, where he presented the DGEEC study on the Pilot Project for Digital Textbooks (PPMD) in Portugal.

Recent CIPES Publication
